The launch of the first fully electric
bus produced in Adelaide's northern suburbs. June 23, 2017
I was invited
toattend this
event on behalf of the AEVA (SA)
Branch.
The event was held at ZF Lemforder's manufacturing site at Edinburgh Park,
Edinburgh just north of Adelaide in South Australia.
Companies involved in
the Precision Buses project are Transit Australia Group, Precision
Components and ZF Lemforder.
This event marked the launch of
the first completed electric bus.
Another electric bus is nearly completed as well as high efficiency diesel
buses using the same lightweight monocoque stainless steel shell.
In fact, they have an order for 50 of the diesel buses from interstate.
The electric bus is now on trial on the streets of Adelaide on one of the
free bus routes.
More detailed information has been requested from ZF Lemforder and will
be placed here...
