"Science Alive 2012!"

The AEVA (Adelaide Branch) had an Electric Vehicle Display at the 2012 Science Alive!

10th, 11th & 12th August, 2012

Open to the public on Saturday (11th) and Sunday (12th) and on the
preceding Friday (10th) it was open to school students.


We had two converted electric cars on display: Eric's 1985 Holden (Suzuki) Barina and Marianne and Trevor's 1990 Daihatsu Charade.


Eric's 1985 Holden (Suzuki) Barina EV conversion, out with the petrol engine and in with the electric motor, add some batteries and controller and stir well...


The working models of: Battery, Controller and Motor were very popular with the younger generation. This one was put together by Blake.

Mic's "E-Mail" 2004 Honda CT100 (postie) motor bike conversion, an electric bicycle and Rob's Vectrix electric scooter -  now with Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries.
